Currently, native staking on Solana lacks the flexibility users demand. Shifting stakes between validators is too time-consuming. As more validators offer temporal benefits, this flexibility becomes crucial. In this BlockSprint project, ambitious students will have the unique opportunity to develop a layer on top of Solana’s native staking, enabling users to seamlessly shift stakes in just one transaction.

Milestones

• Define conceptual architecture
• Implement prototype on Solana (in Rust)
• Test with feedback group from Solana ecosystem
• Present results and prototype on midterm and end presentation (and maybe on X/Twitter)

How to prepare

• Just have a look at docs.solana.com and become familiar with core concepts. Then start writing some sample programs. If it flows well with you then you’re good.
